In The Spirit? Not Yet.

Monday, November 21st, 2016

If I go on how things have been by this date during the past ten years, I would have all my Christmas cards made out and ready for His Majesty to sign, 95% of my Christmas shopping completed, the house completely decorated, the holiday feasts planned, Christmas music playing, and the holiday spirit. I Will Remember

Thursday, November 17th, 2016

I remember a time way back in grade school when being called gay meant your peers wanted you to see yourself as being very limp-wristed and feminine. I say they wanted you to see yourself as that not because they actually saw you in that light, but because you were different, and it was the only way they knew to describe that difference. Is Having A Good Reason Too Much To Ask?

Monday, November 7th, 2016

I’ve avoided writing too many blog posts about the upcoming political election, or making Facebook/Twitter posts about it because…well, everybody else is pretty much doing it. I’m tired of the whole thing. I’m tired of the worrying, which I’m very, very good at by the way. My Little Brother often tells me to chill out, that the candidate I’m voting for, who I think might lose, will win, and things will be fine. Now he’s calling me lately and saying “I’m worried, Big Brother.” That’s not good. Unless he’s suddenly growing chest hair, his being worried is alarming.

Grandmother? Let Me Tell You About My Grandmother

Thursday, November 3rd, 2016

I mentioned a while back that my grandmother (not the Grandmonster) went in for surgery on her shoulder three weeks ago only to have it postponed because her potassium levels had dropped dangerously low. I mention it again because the rescheduled surgery was this past Tuesday, and it went off without a hitch. She’s recovering nicely and will hopefully be discharged in a day. From there, it’s off to rehab! Would you believe some folks are confused by this?
